Javi Alvarado is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Intercultural Family Services, recognized for his visionary leadership and strategic acumen. With a Master's in Social Work from the University of Connecticut and over 30 years of extensive experience in social work and behavioral health, Javi excels in translating organizational missions into actionable strategies.
Before joining Intercultural Family Services, Javi had a distinguished 29-year career in the Army, including two combat deployments. His last role with the US Army National Guard was as the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, where he was responsible for overseeing mental health services and support for service members. Throughout his career, Javi has dedicated himself to working with disadvantaged and vulnerable communities, providing critical support and advocacy to those in need.
