School District of Philadelphia's 4th Annual Back-to-School Celebration & Bus Tour at Fashion District Philadelphia

The School District of Philadelphia is thrilled to announce the success of its 4th Annual Back-to-School Celebration & Bus Tour, a citywide initiative aimed at helping families prepare for the upcoming school year. The excitement is palpable as we count down to the first day of the 2024-2025 school year on Monday, August 26, 2024.

Powered by the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, this annual Tour brings essential back-to-school information and services directly to neighborhoods across Philadelphia. Running from July 29 through August 17, the bus is making stops at seven fun-filled Mega-Events across the city. These events are co-sponsored by various partners, including Radio One, Office Depot, Roosevelt Mall, and this year, a new partner—Fashion District Philadelphia!

Intercultural Family Services was proud to attend the event held at the Fashion District on August 9, 2024. This event was a fantastic opportunity for our staff to meet and engage with members of our community, as well as connect with other resource vendors who were all united by a common goal: to give back in a big way.

The event was filled with energy and excitement as families gathered to receive critical back-to-school supplies, health information, and services that will ensure their children are ready to thrive in the new school year. Our staff was on hand to provide support, share information about our programs, and distribute resources to families in need.

We were inspired by the dedication of everyone involved—from the organizers to the volunteers—and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event. As we continue to serve our community, we look forward to participating in more events like this that uplift and empower the families of Philadelphia.
