Family Empowerment Services (FES)
Family Empowerment Services (FES) is a voluntary community-based service that provides support and resources to maintain a family's health, safety, and stability in their home. FES helps to avoid DHS involvement that can lead to a child’s removal from the home.
Helping Families Become Self-Advocates
FES case managers are assigned to work directly with a family. Case management services involve linkage to community resources such as furniture and food and emergency financial assistance that include, but are not limited to, rent and security deposits to secure housing, as well as utility bills. Case managers help families become knowledgeable self-advocates for future needs.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for services, all families must:
1. Reside in the city of Philadelphia
2. Have a child in the home 17 years old or younger
