Family Based Services
Family Based Mental Health Services (FBMH) supports children who have emotional or behavioral challenges and are at risk of significant out-of-home placement or are returning from out-of-home placement. FBMH uses a two-person therapeutic team to build a positive rapport with a child and their family. FBMH uses Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT), an evidence-based therapeutic modality that focuses on strengthening a family and helps to maintain a child within their community. The program provides effective interventions and treatment in the safety of the family’s home.
The Highest Level of Care
FBMH is the highest level of care for community-based behavioral health services. FBMH clinicians provide case management services, collaborate with schools, refer for medication management, and link families to community resources. Families working with FBMH are also eligible to receive 24/7 crisis intervention.
