Tariq Moore | BIO

Tariq Moore is a dedicated community leader and youth advocate based in West Philadelphia. He’s an outreach specialist with the nonprofit Do Moore Good, he focuses on preventative justice and empowering young people through Fitness, mentorship and community engagement.
Moore is the founder of Philly S.A.F.E., a youth leadership mentoring program that operates out of the Miles Mack Recreation Center. The program is designed for boys aged 13 to 18 and centers around four core pillars: Service, Agriculture, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship. By offering workshops and hands-on experiences, Philly S.A.F.E. aims to equip young men with the tools and confidence needed to become future leaders in their communities .
In addition to his work with Philly S.A.F.E., Moore gained attention for a viral moment involving Philadelphia Police Officer Daquan Ballenger. In a lighthearted exchange, Moore challenged Officer Ballenger to perform 50 push-ups, which the officer completed, showcasing a positive interaction between law enforcement and community members .
Through his initiatives, Moore continues to foster community-driven change, focusing on creating inclusive spaces where young people feel empowered to contribute to the greater good.
