Dr. Angela McNeil is a dedicated higher education professional and pre-professional licensed counseling practitioner, with unwavering commitment to the empowerment of individuals and communities through education and mental wellness. With over 25 years of transformative experience, Dr. McNeil has built a legacy rooted in advocacy, service, and impactful leadership.

She began her career as the inaugural Director of Multicultural Affairs and Act 101 Counselor, where she championed access, equity, and student success. In this pioneering role, Dr. McNeil guided thousands of students through their academic and personal journeys, fostering resilience, confidence, and achievement. Her work has laid the foundation for generational transformation—opening doors and creating pathways for underserved and underrepresented students to thrive.

Dr. McNeil also provides mental health services to students and community members, helping them build effective coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, grief, and trauma. Her therapeutic work is rooted in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach that creates safe, healing-centered spaces for growth and transformation.

Her doctoral research focused on the lived experiences of African American mothers who lost their sons to gun violence, exploring the long-term emotional, psychological, and spiritual impact of such traumatic loss. This work deepened her understanding of grief, generational trauma, and the urgent need for culturally competent care in underserved communities.
