Greetings!

As the chair of the Board of Directors at Intercultural Family Services, and on behalf of my board colleagues, it is our pleasure to welcome you to our website and introduce you to our unique mission and the array of services we provide to our communities. The pages on this website reflect our dedication and commitment to a vision that began more than 40 years ago and continues today.

Consider us your partners in the journey to improving and cultivating life experiences. Every individual, family, and community we work with is a priceless gift of gratitude. I know I speak for all our Board members when I say we pledge to support this exceptional mission and to participate in the ebb and flow of giving and receiving. We take our oversight role seriously, and we work diligently to ensure that Intercultural has the tools and resources it needs to provide incomparable service to those in need.

I am humbled and honored to serve as Chair and to witness Intercultural in action. “Diversity in Action” is our trademarked motto and a commitment we have demonstrated over time, which is the breath of life throughout the organization. The engine of our mission is our tremendous professional staff and the many positive outcomes that result from their relentless perseverance day in and day out. Working with them is one of the joys of serving in my role.

We are reminded every day that our lives, our communities, and our world is ever-changing. We welcome our Interim CEO Michael Kellerman and look forward to an exciting time of renewal and growth. Michael has already demonstrated his collaborative work with our funders and supporters. We also recently celebrated the groundbreaking on Intercultural’s state-of-the-art, 36,000 square foot future headquarters, an achievement decades in the making. We truly look forward to great work ahead of us.

Gracias, Merci, Saum Arkoun, (as well as other phrases for thanks) – thank you for the opportunity to serve and for your continued support of Intercultural.

Very truly yours,

Maria Pajil Battle
