Family Empowerment Services (FES)
The Family Empowerment Services (FES) provides services to a multicultural/multilingual population throughout the greater Philadelphia area. The FES program is designed to divert at-risk families from entry into the formal child protection system, as well as the Juvenile Justice System. The mission for the FES program is to enhance the ability of families to provide for their children's well-being in a minimally intrusive, time limited manner.
The FES service is a three-month voluntary case management service. Bi-weekly visits are conducted in the home and provide referrals, follow-up and support to many community services including, mental health clinics, drug and alcohol treatment programs, housing and utility assistance programs, parent education groups, etc.
Funding for FES is provided by the City of Philadelphia's Department of Human Services.
